Indications and advice for use:
Clinical studies on pure essential oil of Tea Tree indicate that it can be used in the case of vaginitis, mycosis and bacterial skin infections, onychomycosis, acne, athlete's foot, pediculosis and halitosis. In detail:
Skin and integumentary system: local applications have shown excellent efficacy against various skin and mucosal affections or affecting the mucosal skin. Although it can be used well even alone, and given its wide use, it is useful to mix it with at least one other essential oil with alcohols (to minimize the problems of occurrence of bacterial resistance.
Digestive system: excellent in toothpaste, as a mouthwash for gingivitis, inflammation of the mucous membranes and abscesses, pyorrhea.
Athlete's foot (Tinea pedis)
Apply in the form of an emollient cream at 8-10% or 40% solution, on the feet previously washed and dried: used daily leads to excellent results, although frequency of application and constancy (2-3 weeks) is required. Mix with other essential oils with alcohols. A suspension of Tea Tree in water can be used to disinfect the socks.
Fungal infections (onychomycosis)
Remove excess fingernail and clean well: apply 100% Essential Oil, 2-3 times a day for 2-3 weeks. It is an excellent therapy, comparable to the impact on the pathogen, subjective symptoms and long-term effects on drug therapy (1% clotrimazole). Mix with other essential oils with alcohols.
Apply to the boil without dilution, 2-3 times a day after cleaning the fabric. It encourages faster healing and reduces scar tissue (the result probably due to action on S. aureus). Always try first with undiluted Essential Oil and dilute only in case of irritation.
Acne medium or moderate
Application as for furunculosis, but use a 5% dilution.
